Introduction

The site is surrounded by residential mixed-use blocks with street access from three sides except on the north. The parallel streets on the east and west are strong lines for the site. The street on the east side is river corridor.

Description

The main activities of the park are concentrated at the central part and the entrance area with transitional spaces. This created special nodes at different intersection points. The existing access points in the site, and green as well as grey features influenced the layout. For example, the spaces accessible from different points were considered as transitional spaces. Likewise, spaces with more greenery as well as very old existing trees were considered as isolated spaces. Further, the enclosed spaces were proposed for social activities. In the activity spaces, the design requirement which came out of the standard requirement for a community park as well as contextual requirement from site analysis as well as community discussion were incorporated.
